KM Dental Clinic
In Canada, General Oral Health care is not included in the Canada Health Act (CHA). Most Canadians receive oral health care through private dental clinics and pay for their services through insurance or pay for it themselves.
Luckily, for the past five years, Anba Abraam has partnered up with KM Dental to provide FREE basic dental care for low income families. It covers examination, diagnosis, treatment, filling, X ray, extraction, and cleaning. We are very proud to offer such service to families and individuals that need it the most, on average we see 500 Clients per year.
St. Mary’s Food Bank holds special fundraising events throughout the year! We’re always looking for extra hands to help out makes this events spectacular and successful! The St. Mary’s Food Bank is appreciative to those that host events to reach the organizations goals. Fundraising is an important and essential form of generating awareness and reaching our monetary goals to purchase food and be sustainable. It is also a fun way to bring friends, family and the community together for a great cause!
The St. Mary’s Food Bank also hosts its own fundraising events throughout the year! If you are interesting in volunteering please give Sandra Salwanis a call or email to the above contact information.
Food drives are very important for SMFB as they provide the necessary quantities of non-perishable foods to be distributed to low- income families 3 days a week. Because of the strong shelf life of canned food, we are able to stock food for longer periods.
Items in high demand are:
- Peanut Butter
- Luncheon Meat
- Canned Fruit and vegetables
- Dried Pasta
- Baby Formula
- Fresh Fruits and vegetables
St. Mary’s Food Bank relies heavily on volunteers to carry out all operations for different roles and tasks to meet its mission, vision, and goals. SMFB always needs extra and willing hands to help out at our warehouses during operating hours to stock, sort and organize food and clothing on shelves. Peak seasons during the year are when we need extra hands. These are Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.
To volunteer with us please give us a call to make arrangements.
